Privacy Policy

Techoshik Technologies ("we", "us", "our") operates ThanksBill, a billing and inventory management application ("Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use the Service.

By creating an account or using ThanksBill, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

Account and identity information

  • Full name, email address, phone number
  • Business name and address

Business data

  • Products, prices, stock levels
  • Bills, purchases, transfers, discounts
  • Supplier information you enter
  • Sales and inventory reports
  • Case-sale verification images (Premium) — still images captured from CCTV/DVR systems installed at your shop at the time of billing and attached to the relevant bill; these images may incidentally include shop staff or customers, and you are responsible for lawful operation of your CCTV systems, including any required notices or consents on your premises

Technical and usage data (via Google Firebase)

  • Device type, operating system version, app version
  • Crash reports and diagnostic logs (Firebase Crashlytics)
  • Feature usage and navigation patterns (Firebase Analytics); this data is generally aggregated and pseudonymised and is used to understand product usage and improve the Service
  • Push notification tokens (Firebase Cloud Messaging)

Lead capture data (collected from visitors who do not create an account)

  • Business name, category, description, contact name, email address, phone number

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To create and manage your account
  • To provide, operate, and improve the Service
  • To process subscription payments through Razorpay
  • To send push notifications and service-related communications
  • To diagnose and fix crashes and performance issues
  • To analyse usage patterns and improve product experience
  • To respond to support and grievance requests

3. Data Storage and Security

  • All data is stored on Google Firebase (Firestore, Firebase Storage) within Google Cloud infrastructure
  • Data in transit is encrypted using TLS
  • Firestore Security Rules enforce role-based access control
  • Passwords are managed exclusively by Firebase Authentication and are never stored in plain text by us
  • We implement reasonable technical and organisational safeguards; however, no system is completely secure
  • While we maintain reasonable backup and recovery procedures, users are encouraged to retain copies of important business records; we do not guarantee prevention of all data loss events

4. International Data Transfers

Google Cloud and related Firebase services may process or store your data in data centres located outside India. We take reasonable steps to ensure such transfers are protected through appropriate contractual and technical safeguards consistent with applicable Indian law.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share data only with the following service providers, who process data on our behalf solely for the purpose stated:

  • Google Firebase — cloud infrastructure, authentication, storage, analytics, crash reporting, and push notifications
  • Razorpay — payment processing (subject to Razorpay's Privacy Policy); payment card and banking information is processed directly by Razorpay — we do not store complete payment card details on our systems
  • Law enforcement or government authorities — only when required by applicable Indian law or a valid legal order

6. Business Data Ownership

All business records, inventory information, invoices, supplier data, and related content you enter into ThanksBill remain your property. We access such data only as reasonably necessary to provide, secure, maintain, support, and improve the Service, or as required by law.

7. Data Retention

  • Account and business data is retained while your account remains active or subscribed and for a limited period thereafter as necessary to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements
  • You may request account deletion at any time by contacting contact.thanksbill@gmail.com or through any account deletion functionality provided within the Service; data is permanently deleted within 90 days of the request, except where retention is required by law or necessary to resolve disputes, enforce agreements, or maintain backup systems for a limited period
  • Case-sale verification images are retained as part of the bill they are attached to and are deleted along with your business data
  • Lead capture data is retained for up to 12 months
  • Crash and analytics data follows Firebase's default retention periods

8. Your Rights

Under the Information Technology Act 2000, the SPDI Rules 2011, and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete information
  • Request deletion of your personal data (subject to legal or contractual obligations)
  • Withdraw consent for data processing (which may affect your ability to use the Service)

9. Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. If you believe your account has been compromised, please contact us immediately at contact.thanksbill@gmail.com.

10. Local Storage

Certain data may be stored locally on your device to support offline functionality.

11. Cookies and Web Tracking

Our website (https://thanksbill.com) may use cookies and similar technologies for functionality, traffic analysis, and user experience improvements. Firebase Analytics may also be used on the website to collect aggregated and pseudonymised usage data. You can control cookie preferences through your browser settings.

12. Children's Privacy

ThanksBill is intended for business use only and is not directed at individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.

13. Grievance Officer

In accordance with the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, we have designated a Grievance Officer:

14. Governing Law

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising under or in connection with this Policy shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the District Court at Yamuna Nagar, Haryana, India.

15. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. For material changes, we will provide notice through the application, email, or website before the changes become effective. Continued use of the Service after notification constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
